HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 20 Urging the United States                                                                          
Congress to intervene to eliminate or reduce the planned parcel post                                                            
and bypass mail rate increases adopted by the United States Postal                                                              
Service because of the severe effect the rate increases will have on                                                            
rural Alaska, was read the second time.

Senator Stevens moved and asked unanimous consent that the                                                                      
resolution be advanced to third reading and placed on final passage.                                                            
Without objection, it was so ordered.

The question being: "Shall HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 20                                                                        
Urging the United States Congress to intervene to eliminate or reduce

United States Postal Service because of the severe effect the rate                                                              
increases will have on rural Alaska, pass the Senate?" The roll was
